Supplement Label Checker
Check a supplement label before you buy
Use these seven checks to identify whether a supplement label gives you enough information to make a sensible comparison.
- Does it state each active ingredient and the amount per serving?
- Does it show the serving size and number of servings?
- Does it provide a complete ingredient, additive and allergen list?
- Are directions, warnings and suitability details visible?
- Are manufacturing or quality claims supported by named evidence?
- Is independent testing specific and evidenced rather than merely claimed?
- Are the marketing claims proportionate and free from miracle promises?
A clear label is not proof that a product is safe, effective or independently verified. Missing information should be checked with the retailer or manufacturer.
